When our expectations don’t match our reality, the result can be painful. Sometimes our hope in the Lord might even falter. In Psalm 62:5 David teaches us how to best deal with unfulfilled expectations. Here’s what he concluded: “God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not?.
David knew that it is only when we learn to put our expectations in God alone that we will find true and lasting joy. David understood that the only way to thrive is to put all of our eggs in the basket of our good, good Father.
