Arise and Shine!

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”    

Isaiah 60:1 KJV

As i was preparing to type out this post, the Lord laid out the above Bible verse unto my heart.To be honest, i wasn’t sure what i was going to share, as it has been so long and i have so much to share, but i just knew i had to share something this evening(well morning, its like 1am). So i pondered on this verse for a while, and it was just perfect. Thank you Father for your guidance.

Don’t just arise, but also SHINE!!!

So for a while now, life in general has been really tough. More downs than ups. I went weeks without fellowship with God. There was a huge disconnect between God and i, and i just could not understand why. Because i genuinely yearned to get back in communication with Him, but it just wasn’t working out. I would talk to friends about it, but it was as though everyone around me was also in a downwards spiritual state. School was tough, relationships were falling apart, finances weren’t the greatest, amongst others. But the good thing was that my desire still remained.

A couple days ago, i finally gathered enough strength and had a prayer session with two of my closest friends. And i must say, it was powerful. It was as though there was a rush of wind around us as we prayed. Everything i went on there with that was weighing heavily on me, was lifted off.  “²⁸ Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. ³⁰ For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matt 11:28-30NKJV ”

What am i trying to say?

You may be experiencing such a phase in your life, and i believe the Lord just used my situation to bless you. I believe and i know that my light has come. So has yours, so seize the opportunity and make that move, start that business, get that degree, plan that marriage.

This is a word in season. This verse is speaking to someone(you and i) to awake and arise from a state of darkness and mourning, and enter into a state of light and happiness. To rise to new life. To be radiant with the glory of the Lord. Just as after a dark night, the light breaks forth, so are you and i breaking forth into a new day.

Remember this:

Everything the enemy has stolen, God is going to restore:The Joy, The Peace, The Health, The Dreams.
