I’m glad it happened

Listening to Steven Furtick’s sermon titled, I’M GLAD IT HAPPENED got me thinking about my life, reflecting on my past, trying to figure out what exactly in my life i was glad, happened. To be honest, i could not pinpoint anything. As the sermon proceeded, it got me searching deeper and deeper.

That was when I realized….I’m glad for my weakness, because it took me to places of deeeper strengths. I’m glad i failed multiple times, I’m glad I’ve been broken down and rebuilt again and again.

Why?

At first i thought either God was insane or I was insane, Because the definition of insanity says doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. But you see, I’d missed it! I wasn’t paying attention because every-time there was a delay, I went in different, no matter how small of a change it was, He changed something within me whether it was through a lesson learned, a friendship lost, a relationship broken, a failed commitment, a broken dream…etc.

You see i serve a God of perfection.

“This God – His way is perfect..”Psalm 18:30 ESV

You know when Queen Esther was preparing to meet the King, it took 12 months of preparation?(Esther 2:12) It’s because they wanted them to be perfect by the time they met the King. So how much more our Heavenly Father? Its taken you 5 extra years to get married because of the work he was doing within you.

When working in solidworks, designing a part, sometimes if I make a mistake with a particular dimension, I have to restart because the time it’d take to fix the problem if I keep going versus the time it’d take to restart immediately, is significantly more.

You see I’ve never said this out loud before but God has me going through college over and over again(yes…its been a minute I don’t even believe it!), because He wants me to come out perfect“You therefore must be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” – Matthew 5:48. Not society’s idea of perfect but His idea of perfect. Not necessarily with a 4.0GPa and the best job on the market according to the world, but rather the best job He knows would pull me up, cause me to soar, thrive in my God given purpose…heck even come out as an entrepreneur! Amen!!

I am His image. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.”- Genesis 1:27

So now I know that God will take me to the next level when He knows im ready and He doesn’t care if He has to repeat the process multiple times, because to My God that’s not insanity, that Spiritual Pruning, and because He has told me in Psalm 138:8 that “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:…”

Be encouraged! Do not see your current struggles as struggles, forget them and keep moving forward because the Bible tells us:

18 “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
20 The wild animals honor me,
the jackals and the owls,
because I provide water in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,

Judy❤
