Last night, I had a conversation with my cousin. At a point during this call, this question came up, “At the end of the day, would it all be worth it if you never knew him? It was no coincidence that my memory verse for today was…
“But of that day or that hour not a [single] person knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on your guard [constantly alert], and watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man [already] going on a journey; when he leaves home, he puts his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch. Therefore watch (give strict attention, be cautious and alert), for you do not know when the Master of the house is coming–in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning– [Watch, I say] lest He come suddenly and unexpectedly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to everybody: Watch (give strict attention, be cautious, active, and alert)!”
Mark 13:32-37 AMP
I just have one question. When that day, when that hour arrives will you be ready? Will your name be in the book of life?
We(humans) are busy chasing after degrees, certificates, money, relationships, children…etc. But we are missing the most important thing…Fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Of what use will you be if that hour is here and your task is not complete but you managed to complete other tasks that weren’t important to the master?
When that day arrives, will Jesus say He knew you? Or would you be one of the ‘many’ in the verses below?⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇
Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Wouldn’t you rather repent now and follow Christ, let the Holy Spirit lead you free of charge, than to wait till the last minute and beg and plead because the pain you’d be in would be unbearable? I know I would.
Let’s stop chasing after this world and chase after God.
Stand out amongst your friends. You don’t have to follow them, you have to lead them.
Be a good Shepherd wherever you find yourself.
Don’t just be a Christian, share the word with others.(that being said)
Short story
An acquaintance of mine recently messaged me on snapchat and asked me this, and I quote,
“Hey Lilian, I have a question.
And I may come across as a bit of a prig with it, but I assure you it is an honest question
An honestly curious one
That being said, my question is: why do you snap chat your prayers?
Or better yet: do you snap chat your prayers? And if so, why?”
I was honestly confused, and shocked, but highly entertained. I replied nicely though. But it’s statements and questions like these that cause Christians to hide their faith and keep it to themselves. I’m sorry but I’m no longer that type, I will shout it out in your face!😏😊
That being said… Buenos Noches🙏
